Our approach

We are a dance theatre and arts studio where training and stagecraft go together. Batches are streamed by ability, kept small, and taught by working performers so every dancer gets corrections by name each week.

Our curriculum spans semi classical and Indian film styles alongside contemporary, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and heels - so dancers build a genuinely versatile body.

Beyond class, we produce annual showcases, workshops with guest choreographers, and custom choreography for weddings, corporate events, and festivals.

Founder

Kenny Swaminadham

Artistic Director · Performer · Instructor

Kenny Swaminadham is a choreographer, performer, dance educator and Artistic Director, holding a BA (Hons) in Performing Arts from the University of Bedfordshire, London. Founder of Team Bhoomi Dance Studio, Hyderabad, and Shakti Indian Dance Theatre, Kenny has worked professionally across the UK as a member of Epika Dance Troupe and Assistant Choreographer to Rakhi Sood. His career includes collaborations with Salim–Sulaiman and Roop Kumar Rathod, involvement with the London 2012 Olympic Games, major award shows including the MTV Europe Awards, BRIT Awards and Olivier Awards, and a performance on Sky TV's Got to Dance. His work blends Indian classical traditions, contemporary movement and dance theatre, with a vision to create meaningful artistic and cultural connections across the world.

Nimisha Surendran

Performer · Choreographer · Dance Educator

A passionate and versatile artist, Nimisha bridges tradition and modern expression through her journey in dance. With deep roots in Bharatanatyam and Kerala folk traditions - trained under Guru Vipi Das at Natyalaya Dance Academy, Palakkad - she has performed on numerous revered stages alongside her guru. She completed a Diploma in Contemporary Dance through the Intensive Contemporary Dance Course at You Can Dance Studio under the mentorship of Kenny Swaminadham, and today serves as Head Instructor – Contemporary Dance at You Can Dance Studio and Le Ciel Studio, Hyderabad, and Assistant Choreographer for Team Shakti. She recently presented original choreography at Swarnagiri Temple, merging contemporary vocabulary with spiritual and cultural themes. Her work treats dance as a living bridge between past and present, intertwining technical precision, emotive depth and cultural narrative.
